Growing Up
Since I was a little girl, I’ve had an understanding of the impact preparing meals with love. Growing up, I stuck close to my family matriarchs and grew up learning how to cook, firsthand, from the best cooks I knew; my mother, grandmother and great grandmother...Mable, Mattie and Tossie.
How I Became a Chef
In 2010, I decided it was time to follow my dreams and turn my passion and purpose into a business. I left my corporate job, moved back home to Charlotte, N.C., and enrolled in a culinary arts program. From there, Heart and Soul Personal Chef Service was born.
Mission
I am determined to keep my family’s legacy alive by pairing my Southern upbringing and family recipes with my classic French culinary training to create dishes that stem from my roots and expand beyond your imagination!
From Chef to CEO
Chef Lisa has grown her business from a solo entrepreneurship into a small corporation. She has mentored and formed the most talented team of black, female chefs that exists anywhere. Along with an amazing crew of servers, her “A” team is now a 24-member squad that delivers the most elite dining experiences in the Charlotte area.
